watched this programme last night, what a fucking sorry state some of this country is in.

The size of a persons TV is irrelvant, it shows the same pictures.

The family with the big TV may shop at ALDI and live on 5p cans of beans all week so they can afford there amazing telly and peoples circumstances change daily and all programs like "skint" do is show the extremes and persuade people that what they see is the norm.

The demonisation of the poor carries on at a pace whilst the rich bankers get away with destroying the economy through the greed they espoused and the poor pay for the mistakes they made.

This government does not want to control welfare it wants to destroy it completely and utterly as it goes against every grain of the beliefs they have.

What sort of government would be happy to send young boys to war and then when they come home severly injured deny them welfare?

Its about perceptions mate you have a nice life have some enjoyments in life beer footy, holidays, nice clothes and probably a few birds on tap. Where as they have 5 kids live in an absolute shithole no holidays nothing live one day to the next and trapped into that lifestyle with no escape.

Here lies the difference you may think that popping out kids is like going for a shit only you don't get to flush it down unless you're Chinese . What ever the picture that program tries to paint its bollocks, bringing up kids is hard and even harder if you're skint I would imagine. Despite having 2 kids I am not proclaiming to be an expert on this, but the vast majority of people want the best for the kids nice: house, area, school holidays, etc.

Unfortunately there is a very very small minority that will use children as a cash cow. I speak for I would like to think a lot of people on Bluemooners that most parents want the best for there children and they will not sacrifice there childrens well being for the sake of a plasma tv.

both good points rasc and mike, i understand what you both mean.

i know there are lots of genuine cases in the UK, but i look around and see many people i went to school with having kids and living off the benefits of that on purpose.

i wouldnt deny my friend with a broken back benefits, he wants to work but can´t and i truly feel sorry for him for a 22 year old to not be able to physically work. i think the system needs changing though to combat those who simply cannot be arsed, the attitudes of the people in that programme are a disgrace, i mean having 5 kids at 21 is just mental.

i dont mind paying tax to people with disabilities, families that genuinely struggle, soldiers welfare, schools, hospitals, roads etc etc.

it´s the layabout lazy twats i cant stand.
