It's not as if Sky aren't aware of the frustrations.
The lack of reminder is the top request in any Sky discussion/feedback group.
It used to switch the channel unless you manually cancelled it. This was to allow your tape/DVD recorder to record the program.
So Sky now argue that it is no longer needed.
But that is not the point. It is the most requested feature that people want back.

SKY Q's old "swipe" remote was the most hated feature.
They only got rid because it was argued that it affected people with limited hand mobility. (and those without it as well!)
They brought out the direction button version to cater for that. It sold so well, they admitted people prefered it.
What's the point of something that is young and trendy if it simply doesn't work.

Sky used to be easy to use and accessible to young and old. Not so much these days...
