Sky Sports Deals

We have always had to physically leave to acheive a reasonable discount and this year will be no different than the rest. So this is now on Sky Q 2 before they increase it back to the £107.

The only Sky channel pack missing was Kids I think, which I didn't need. I think they must be losing customers all the time and dragging them back in with huge discounts, it's a stupid business model to me but perhaps there are more people who just live with the huge increase than I'd expect.
That was a very good deal and it's everything we have excluding kids and Multiroom. Are you on the Sky Q 2 network?

I pay £44 for Sky Sports and Entertainment pack in HD, Q. Mrs H watches the Yank dramas on Atlantic.

Share BT with my Dad, he has it on the Sky Platform whereas I get through my Samsung TV, £12 each.

Virgin said they were increasing my broadband from £24 to £44, rang them, now £21.

£77 all in per month, I have a dodgy box as well but I prefer the stability of Sky and BT without the time lag and occasional buffering especially watching our away games.

Use Brave browser. Built-in VPN and adblocker, not 100% effecive but works most of the time.

Available on Android and Windows.

You might have to try a few of those stream links but then it is a free service. I actually prefer the Yankee commentary to Sky and BT tarts, easier to zone out and just focus on the football.
Brave does not have a built-in VPN.

I use Brave and I did not think that it does have built-in VPN, so I just checked to see what my IP address is in Brave and yes, it's fully exposed. I am sure you can get VPN plugins as you can with any browser, but as standard, I think you are unprotected. Brave offer an optional firewall and VPN paid plug inm but this is for IOS only, and not installed as standard.

Opera does have built in VPN, I think.

Its the Sky Q hardware 2TB Sky Q set-top-box that gives you all extras like uhd capability and recording 7 programes a t once. Was under the impression sky charge extra for deals under this format?
I don't think they charge extra per month because of the box you have, they will try and charge you a one off fee if you want to upgrade however. We've still got the original 1TB non-UHD box but then it's only a HD TV anyway. With the catch-up options I can't say that only 5(?) tuners are an issue.

Braves VPN never really worked, I use Epic Privacy browser and install the Ad blocker and VPN add-ons. It does pass the IP leak tests.

Thought I'd do a comparison with trying to build a matching package using streaming services (at full prices) and Freeview, based on our household viewing patterns, and came up with this ...

So I think I'm right in valuing the content at around £35 to £40 pm. I just don't value the convenience & UHD of the box at another £20 - £60, in fact I find using streaming services more convenient as I can watch it anywhere. Plus I'm not tied into a contract so I can drop one and bring in another such as Apple TV, Now Entertainment, Acorn TV etc. and pick up subscription offers as they arise.
