I cord cut ages ago.
Netflix + Amazon Prime + WWE Network + iplayer/ITVPlayer/4oD + Youtube + streaming and downloading sorts me and the missus no issue, and it does it for about £80 a month cheaper than what we were paying.
So.....
I went online and chatted to a person, within seconds I got a call from a Scottish gentleman, very pleasant.
I am currently paying £87 per month for Sky TV and HD excluding Movies, and my phone line and broadband. I told him I wanted to cancel, he asked which service I would like to cancel which put me on the spot as I hadn't thought about my phone and internet. I just thought sod it! Cancel the lot please, He asked the normal questions about why I would like to cancel and I basically said affordability. He then asked me a closed question, "If I could reduce your payment would you be interested?" of which I replied yes! he. He went away and came back with £10 off, I said thank you but £2.50 a week discount is not going to change my mind.
So on the 18th January, I am going to be with out SKY TV, no phone line or internet lol.
Can anyone give me any good phone line and broadband options?
Yeah, you just connect the NOWTV box to the TV with the HDMI cable supplied and login. Alternatively you can login directly to the website via laptop/tablet/smartphone.About £1 a day then. Is this something I can watch through the TV? I'll usually have a match on in the background as I mess around at home. It'll be cheaper than one good pub session.
You do realise that you're breaking the law by watching illegal streams!
Well if that's the thing that coppers pick me up for then I'll be doing alright!
Ha Ha.I was on a half price for 9 months package. Rang up to cancel when that was about to end, as I wasn't prepared to pay the full cost. Was on hold for about 40 minutes, until they finally decided to answer. I told them that, due to financial circumstances, I had to cancel as I couldn't afford the full price They tried various (poor) efforts to keep me hooked up, which I steadfastly refused. That ibcluded getting rid of the sports and movies, which is the main reason I have Sky in the first place. The lady then reluctantly put me through to their cancellations section, I then spoke to a bloke on there who put me on hold for a couple of minutes while he "talked to his supervisor". He came back and said that, due to me being a customer for 12 years on and off, they were willing to offer me another 9 months at half price as I was a valued customer. So I'm with them until next august when the whole process starts again. I can't remember when I last paid the full whack for their stations. Currently paying somewhere around €47 for the sports and movies channels with the HD pack.
