Skyfall

Would be interesting to see the age range of those saying it's the best Bond film compared to those saying it isn't. I loved it, absolute quality.

49, and I agree. Compared to some of Connery's work, Skyfall isn't the best. However, it is a very good film.

Thought it was fucking brilliant. The way it leads you from the more typical bad guys of Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace into the bond villians of all the films we know and love was just perfect IMO.

Perhaps put *SPOILERS* in the thread title so we can discuss it freely without inadvertently pissing anyone off.

I really enjoyed the film

a little cheesy? an over the top villain? rather improbable storyline? a chase that would never work? ridiculous product placement?

of course! - it's a bloody bond film!

my boys of six and nine both enjoyed it too, if that helps...

Nowhere near the best bond film, skyfall has a very cheesy ending, secret tunnell to the chapel, the blowing up of the original best bond car.

had a very lame story from start to finish, take out the opening car chase and rooftop motorbike chase it was tame-and Judi Dench has always made a shit "M" from her first Bond Film, and they have gone down the spotty geek route with the new "Q".

Its a shame because Daniel Craig is up there with Connery and Moore

6/10 for me

This ^^^^^ went to see it last night, sums it up perfectly

I can see why the first act was the bit people like the most as it was the only part that was a proper Bond movie, the 2nd act was slow but ok then the 3rd ok just seemed like Mendes had taken one look at the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and thought "I want a piece of that".

Glad Dench has gone though, Ralph will be awesome and hopefully they can do a twist and turn him into a baddie after a few films, I mean he just looks evil.

Bardem looked a good villain till the end part where he got all like a little boy that had lost his mummy, and I'm sorry but Craig just doesn't have the charisma to be a great Bond, he's just a good action star and to be honest if you called it anything other than Bond it would be seen as a pretty good action movie. I found it a bit too dark to be a Bond movie, there wasn't enough light-heartedness to balance it out. I appreciate and expect a good plot and some character development, but christ it was bloody mournful by the end.

Preferred Casino Royale, it just seemed brighter and livelier whilst until the ending still had a decent story.

They have run out of ideas and when they cast people like Dench as "M" then you know they are struggling.

It was cheesy, all that film missed was having jaws return biting cable car cables in half, they need to up things now if they want to capture a new younger audience.

Im pleased your six and nine year olds enjoyed it-not as much as you though by the sound of it.
