Im hearing from sources that two of our own daz page and shez were grassed up by mcfc officials here tonight the age of sorriano long live garry cook!
This is why, although I support the team, I'm beginning to hate the club. Bunch of soulless, corporate suits who have no concept of what it's like to be a fan or how to engage with us.
Oh dear. Another one of your
controversial for the sake of it posts. Or should that be "deliberately provocative". Playing to the cheap seats. You "hate" the club. Wow. That's proper bottom of the barrel stuff.
Made me raise my eyebrows that, too.
In terms of personnel I'd much rather have the skilled and capable individuals we have now than the bunch of self-interested chancers we've had fucking things up for us between 1971 and 2008.
I love this club as much as ever. More, if anything, now we are at the top table at last. I know for a fact that the club were in a really awkward position with these travelling fans because of the formal advice they'd been given about doing everything they could to discourage fans from travelling. Whilst discrete attempts were made to try to help these fans see the game somewhere safe, Moscow was apparently "a total nightmare" to get anything done.
Alex will tell you I did what I could to help these blues yesterday. But at the end of the day, whilst I admire their balls and commitment, the entire trip was at their own risk and against all advice. I went to Luton in the 1980s and If I'd have got chucked out I wouldn't have blamed City, i'd have taken it on the chin.
Having said that, if City's security went out of their way to uncover and eject the blues who got in, when they could have turned a blind eye, then that's shitty. But in my experience there's often two sides to these stories and if the police were involved there was probably a lot more to it.
