Yes I know, Tate n Lyle we’re slave owners, Lloyds bank had involvement, Hugo Boss used to make uniforms for the German army, I know all this, the first poster trying to acquaint two black fellows shot and robbed a family member in the 1800s which is bad to 250 years of slavery.

The point @i kne albert davy is making is the Holocaust was only 75 years or so ago. We are still half heartedly arguing about works of art stolen from Jews never mind the companies that profited from the war. Why isn't that being discussed ?
I would rather millions be spent on tackling slavery that is happening today, the hand car wash, the nail bar and prostitution. People's lives are being destroyed today and yet we turn a blind eye to it because at £5 to get your car washed.......

No it’s not going to change owt now, but if he wants to investigate his own family’s past he has a right to do so, and yes I hope he pays for it.

Good on you, but King Charles wants to find out the Royal involvement in slavery 250 years ago, don’t see a problem in that.
 
I doubt there is any British institution, company or port city over 200 years old that doesn't owe at least some of of its historical wealth to the transatlantic slave trade.
