Expected what we saw from a fat Sam team. doesn't help with the options he has either though. We'll do nothing whilst Rooney an Henderson are in midfield.
He doesnt have many options, but he left our two best creative attacking midfielders out of the squad and picked Lallana, Rooney and Henderson instead and we wonder why it was turgid and dull.

If Jack Wilshire wasn't such a fucking twat shithead waster, he would walk into that team. There is lierally no creative talent at all in midfield, just Rooney pretending, & John Stones who is a better footballer than the various troglodytes who are supposed to do the job, but is a central defender.
What should happen is we should fuck off the next couple of tournaments, put someone like Eddie Howe in charge and dump everyone over about 23. Just keep trying kids from various reserve/youth teams until we find a bunch to go with Stones etc.
There is absolutely no point in trying to combine that bunch of neanderthals & Fat Sam into a tournament team. It is just a waste of fucking time. The best they will achieve if everything goes right, is failure without humiliation.

The real issue has been alluded too earlier in the thread, if Allardyce is the best English coach we have (I'm sure he's not, but I also think he would be able to do a better job if allowed - he won't be), then its little wonder we have so little talent coming through, given what the level of coaching must be like well below this level.
The whole structure needs to be completely overhauled, but there are too many with vested interests who won't ever vote for change.
Could be worse I guess, England could be being held by Malta......

Allerdyce isn't qualified to create a team that needs to break down packed defences, he has no experience in it - he is more suited to managing Slovakia
That said, with his defensive organisational skills, we might do something in knockout games

My point was, not by much, yes they are (can be anyway) better, but 5%, 10%, improvement isn't what is needed.
And my point is there is no helping someone, if they dont help themselves.
I am not saying those 2 are a solution to all the problems, more like a sticking plaster on a broken leg, but we cant completely reinvent the wheel in a month or so.
