Unfortunately true. He wasn't even a pale imitation of the player he was before Buchan effectively ended his career. Heartbreaking to think back to just how good a player he was, and then comparing him when he came back.

Valderrama was actually one of the quickest players to have played the game. It was just the hair drag-factor that slowed him to walking pace.
