Smallest away following for City

12 of us on pre-season game in China in 1996. And one of them was Kev Cummins who was sort of working....... So really it was only 11 of us. It was against Tianjin ...... We drew the game and lost on penalties (lost on purpose as the winning team were awarded a car and City would have struggled to get it on the plane home)[/quote

Proper good shout.

Hull away in full members cup the year we got to the final I think . We where in the supermarket end . Not many there at all

The smallest away following i can remember is Chelsea. It was a Monday night & i think it was the 1st season of Sky TV. We'd played away at Norwich on the sat. Both games were 0-0 if memory serves. There were no more than 150/200 of us there. It was the old North Stand & it was fucking freezing.

i was in the third tier of big stand, bloody frozen solid by the end

Has to be Millwall. Can't remember the year. All away fans were banned that year for City Millwall games City won 1:0 and their was one brave lone fan cheering in an empty stand

The smalles I attended was Notts Forest in the simod cup in 1989, just after Machin left, we lost 3-2 and White (I think) scored a cracker. No more than 150 City fans in that corner, but we had a great following there in the league that season

Wimbledon away at Selhurst on a Monday night around 95-ish. I was working in Surrey so drove up. I parked right outside the away end and there was nobody around at all. It crossed my mind that the match might be off it was so quiet.

Match was instantly forgettable. Think we lost. The only thing that sticks in my mind was being surrounded by rows and rows of empty seats. Also think it might have been Edghills debut

Did Jocky behave himself tho?;-)

2. Millwall away in the Youth Cup mid 70s . We lost.
Me and Helen (With the Bell) .
She came down on the youth team bus.
Must admit I would not have been there if I wasnt working down there at the time.
Was in their main stand and she walked past me and let on.
Got some funny looks, sat on my own throught the game.

He did indeed and I'm sure he's still got the same carry bag for his programmes that he had back then & Kev H was there as well.

As two of the games got cancelled due to floods Half of us travelled down to Hong Kong which was still British back then, Jocky and Kev headed off for Shanghai ;)

It was Edghill's debut and he played well!!

But I thought it was a decent turnout considering the circumstances ie on telly, we were shit and at one of the worst places in England to get to!

I think we took less to Chelsea on a freezing Monday night live on Sky, similar period.
