Smart TV's, recommendations please

despite the shiny tv ads saying
"If you watch movies, go for an OLED because the pixels are separate."

Don't get one from curry's.

Just had a quick look and Argos were selling a TV for the same price. Think it is broadly the same across all their TVs.

Just remembered a helpful bit of info, not used this myself, but when I worked at a council, a leaving care worker told us if he bought TVs (for kids leaving care) he would get them from argos and get the no quibble insurance that also covered damage. As there were a fair few who would smash up their own TV, I'd say this was likely to be tried and tested.

Not checked the price of the cover though.

We bought a 43”JVC with built in Fire TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney+ .
Was dead easy to add IPTV as well.
£350.
Also have LG 58" which is great, use a Xiaomi Stick for the IPTV in that.
ive had 4 jvc android edition fire tvs since january replaced. ended up with a refund

How is the ghastly OS these days? brilliant panel(*quite a bit of temp burn in) shite software was my experience
No idea mate. It's only as smart as the operator. ; )

The picture is great and you have to be careful with still images getting burnt in.
It's probably the least "smart" thing that I own and I include my claw hammer in that. : )

I use a firestick to make it smart.
