Smart TV's, recommendations please

They're a bunch of cunts and their after sales service is beyond shite
The reason I ask is I still pay £5 per month for repairs to TV if it goes wrong. That includes a replace as new clause. I fucking hate my Sony TV and am wishing it all sorts of faults so i can replace it. A tin of paint down the back might do it. No point if their after sales is shit though.

The before sales isn’t so good either.
I went in for a pc monitor a couple of week ago. None in stock at all of any brand.
You have to order online to collect from the store a few days later. Similarly I wanted a new fridge, none in stock and that was pre covid.

I have a bog standard Samsung hd tv about 10 yrs old. Very reliable. Rather than upgrading for smart tv, am I better off just getting a firestick? And which one?
Not a prolific watcher except football.

Roku. Widest compatibility with streaming services.

£20 for roku express on Amazon at the moment.

No need for 4K and other extras if you get with better models if you only have a budget TV.
