Smoking In Toilets

All the smokers congregate together in the open air on the ramps, they’re not really doing any harm.

Basic respect for others is a very subjective thing - personally I’d be far more irritated by the fetid stench caused by someone eating a revolting pie next to me than I would by the smell of tobacco or a vape.
Any smoke can cause harm. My son and I were in 93.20/J on Boxing Day and there were a lot of smokers on the ramps. You cannot get away from them. They flought the rules and have an ignorant disregard for fellow fans and the standards expected by our club. I find it offensive and pathetic as well as a health hazard not least because I have a condition that passive Smoking can make worse.

Im not a smoker, are we talking about the spirals? For me if non smoker I wouldn’t go spiral, just stay in my seat

You need to go on them to get in. Might sound daft...
True but I’ve never seen it smoke heavy pre game just half time. As I say I’m not a smoker and it’s why I’d avoid spirals but we just seem to try find anything to moan at

Yes it was like an old tap room yesterday where I went, the smoke was clearly visible clinging to the low ceiling. Worst I’ve seen at City for many years. The sight of a lad of around 14 years of age puffing away on a cigarette really pissed me off for some reason.

I’d actually set up a cage outside for them to go into, accessible from the concourses, because they don’t really care about others and they obviously don’t want the free options available to help them quit, that the rest of us help pay for.
I agree with the cage idea but as the stadium is owned by Manchester City Council, it will never happen. The council has a pretty inflexible attitude to smoking on any premises that it owns and would have the final say. Even if City were in favour, the council would never approve of any designated smoking area(s) within the stadium.
I smoked until a few years ago and it never entered my head to light up inside a football ground once it was banned. If you can do without it on a flight that lasts 2-3 hours, you can manage for less time than that at a game.

That’s true. I guess the difference between a flight and a football game is that they can’t congregate together on a plane and have lookouts like they do at the stadium. It just takes one bold individual to convince others to join in and if they’re not dispersed seem to get worse. Normally there are stewards near me stood in the area to deter them, like how a scarecrow works, but for the game before Leeds they weren’t there, then for Leeds a few smokers turned up and then for Sunday it was overrun with them.
