Smoking

There were plenty in the loos by 117 at half time. Like walking into a wall of smoke. Whilst i'm not too fussed, i totally understand people views on this and especially those with kids.

Top post. For those who think this is a trivial thing, go and speak to Roy Castle's widow or any other remaining relatives from the ~4000 people who don't smoke but develop lung cancer every year.

If you cannot go 105 mins without a fag - simple, don't come. You know you are breaking the law, and if you don't know or respect you are harming those around you - shame on you.

I don't think Roy castle got cancer by walking into the city bogs every couple of weeks for 2 minutes.

Cardiff away a couple of season ago, they let everyone out on to the car park area at half time, even had a food hut out there

As a smoker myself its not that hard to go a game without having a fag. In the Aviva (Dublin) ye can leave the stadium at halftime for a cig. Ye get a piece of paper that lets ye back in. Good System

They do it at West Brom and Reading too from what i can remember.

The top two tiers should be allowed on the spirals, and the bottom tier should be allowed outside. What City should do is extend the gates where the steps lead down to the toilets in the corners near B and K entrances and allow that to be a half time smoking area.

I smoke and can wait from my last pint in the pub pre-game to my first pint back in the put post-game and find it odd that people cannot wait that long without a cig. But if there are people who really can't, just accommodate them with an area to smoke.

Coventry city allow smokers out via the concourse into the car park at half time, effectively they create a pen with metal barriers and steward it, seems to work fine.
I do accept though that this is far easier to do with 10,000 people in the ground rather than 50,000 plus.
Having said all that people should be able to able to go for a couple of hours without having a fag, and yes I do smoke.

there is no excuse for smoking in the toilets, a bit like not having a smoke on a plane, train, or in the bar.

i am a smoker and understand the addiction but if you cant handle 2 hours, you have a major problem

Another rediculous post that is missing the point entirely.

trying to compare being in a smoke filled working men's club 6/8 hours a night for 40 years, to walking into city's smoke filled bogs for 2 minutes every couple of weeks is the ridiculous statement.
