I think that's a bit harsh. Individually the stewards will not take action for obvious reasons. If they have to tackle the issue, and they do, then it needs to be planned and activated en masse. I'm sure they'll get to each block in due course and dish out some bans to the selfish, arrogant, obnoxious twats who persist in this.

OK - perhaps a little harsh - perhaps they do give a flying fuck but they've got a funny way of showing it! I hope you're right and each block is cleansed of these filth.

Perhaps if you feel so strongly, you should enrol as a steward yourself.
They obviously get paid well to do it.

All I am asking is for them to do the job they are paid for. And anyway I don't need the money nor the hassle. If the current batch are not up to the job they should do one.

It was very kind of them, I smoked at the time, and this was a...ahem...breath of fresh air.

Couldn't happen at most grounds though.

My point is a response to the ridiculous statement...no one dies from passive drinking, which is frankly a stupid thing to say

As regards smoking in the bogs, well it's a bit shit, and a tad antisocial, some of the smokers seem to have a heavy antisocial vibe about them, a lot of people just don't give a fuck about anyone else.

Taken as a prism for modern society its a worrying trend, but taken in isolation it's fairly inconsequential behaviour, the smoke smell will have gone after 5 minutes tops, and your lungs should just about survive until the next half time against Sevilla, i'd worry about other things in life
