Are there even any snakes around there?

Spotted an added once near Woodhead and the moors. One very hot summer. Grass snakes throughout. Even the odd sand lizard up that way. And politician overlords, if you believe the truthful lies.

Train is fine as long as you don't get on the one that stops at loads of places

But not if you live in a community with a station along that route. That's what stations are for!

The area around Derwent / Ladybower reservoir is beautiful.

I wish I had visited when there was a drought which exposed the old ruins of Derwent village
