Sneaky increase in ticket prices

You wanted a walk out after paying for the tickets. The club couldn't give a shit once paid for. I don't think you got any flack for it, just people who fork out and turn up then wanted to see the game. The walk outs are fake, people going to the concourse for a piss and returning.

You can only walk out after you've paid for your ticket and you're in the ground. ;-)

Oh, I got loads of stick. :-( I did!

Did I think 1 lone voice on BM along with a few others would galvanise 100's to walk out during a match at the Etihad, not at all. Call me naive and a d*ck for posting about a protest. I still did the protest. Billy No Protest! :-/

Let's be honest. As other forum members have stated, we just haven't got the fan base that does things like that. City know that.

Just to clarify. I don't want to get rid of Sheik Mansour, the club owner. This isn't a Glazer and FSG style rant. All I and other City fans want to see are cheaper match day tickets and season tickets. Even a freeze on match day ticket prices and season ticket prices would be a start and welcomed next season. We've had over a decade of season ticket and match day ticket price rises with 1 price freeze 'after the fans complained'. Remember that?

City have moved on from encouragement. We are the best team in the world. I thought the Liverpool League Cup tickets were a bit steep but if I don't buy mine somebody else will now. That's fantastic and the ground needs expanding. That said then moderate prices as we grow again and ensure discount for season tickets on the cup scheme and crucially young supporters.

Yes.

Giving discounted tickets to our young supporters is a start. 16-20 year olds.(for example) Either at College, Uni or starting a job on low pay. They are our future and they are vocal.

Agreed. The away under 25 thing has worked well. I need them to takeover for me. Give the young a chance. I say 16 to 25.

Giving them a block in the NS expansion is a good idea. Roughly 500 tickets depending on the size of the block. They'd make a right racket. And put a block of singing FOCs next to them. ;-)

Make sure the club has a future so I and many can pass on the baton.

As you say, giving our younger fans more away tickets has worked.

City now need to do something similar at home when the NS is expanded.

Our young support is growing after decades of Rag domination and hoovering up young supporters in Manchester. It's now City's turn. City have to and must capitalize on City's success and give our young supporters the chance to watch City and not to price them out.

Some great points in this thread. Unfortunately this has been going on a number of years now. It really should be a priority of the likes of City Matters to butt heads with the club a bit on matchday ticket pricing and for the fanbase as a whole to call them out on it too.
Those lucky enough to have season tickets should be irritated about it also as it indirectly effects them buying tickets for friends and family and the way things are heading cup tickets for themselves will start going up astronomically.
It's very snide that the club has increased tickets for the same game on a couple of occasions. I balked at seeing Spuds ones for £85 earlier in the season.
As somebody pointed out the matchday fanbase itself is changing to either day trippers or those wealthy enough to pay those prices regularly and not your regular northern working classes. This has a knock on effect on a number of issues such as losing it's community connection to lack of atmosphere inside the stadium.
I think the pricing before the season started to be purely coincidental and they simply underestimated demand. If they think they can get another £10-15+ a game off people they will. It was also probably to pacify some of those that missed out on the sham of the Silver Season Ticket release in the summer.
If things continue I can see the more affordable option of people/families going to cup games start becoming a thing of the past too and I find that quite sad. It's already happened with league games with people getting priced out and once you lose a regular match-goer it's difficult to get them back.

I'm about at my limit for season ticket price.
Only renewed this year cos of haaland.
It's just getting to much.
Trouble is if I don't renew so tourist will now fill my seat.
Probably a different one every week.
This is probably what the club want get them in the shop buying over priced shirts and a programme.
I'll drive tomorrow.
Never been in the shop
get a programme delivered for free as my mate works at buxton press who print them.
And I don't spend anything in the ground cos it's a rip off.
Times have changed is there any room for proper fans any more
