Sneaky increase in ticket prices

Premier league ticket prices are now ridiculous , i pick and choose my games , mainly home discounted cup games now, its not that i cant afford it , i cannot justify spending £100 a game on ticket , fuel , parking , food , beer and programme for every game. There was a time when i would spend any amount of money and follow us all over the country but i am now a tight old bastard who will happily buy a Sky Sports day pass for £12 instead of sitting next to some prick with a half and half scarf who cant take his eyes of his phone for ninety minutes.
We still havl have plenty of die hard "legacy" fans and their sons and daughters being introduced to our club but our fan base has changed immeasurably since Maine Rd., my own sons and grandchildren have been priced put of attending games ,but on special occasions , birthdays etc.,i treat everybody and blow well over £300 , but that is few and far between.
My admiration for our supporters shelling out thousands of pounds every season is palpable , and we have some of the best support around , but football is no longer a working mans game , i dont no the answer to the costs and certainly not when our club are buying world class players few other clubs can afford.
Ive done my bit and attended nearly 2000 games over 60 years , apologies for the rant , but financially this world is going mad

The tickets for remaining PL home games are a disgrace. The club has been managed brilliantly since the take over but ticket prices is one area they've consistently let us down. All this about not many new season tickets going on sale has me worried as I was considering getting one for next season. Would be my first year as a ST holder and I normally get to about 3/4 games a season travelling from Cardiff. Because of this I don't have many ticket points so not sure how far I would be up the queue for a ST. Not even sure how long the queue is and how it is ordered. Does anyone more informed think I have a chance or will I have to wait until the North Stand expansion to happen.

That will be classed as sensitive commercial information???

But it would be good if City did update the fans on season ticket sales, the amount of fans on the waiting list, and future availability of season tickets.

As the season tickets akways sell out, that information doesn't really have a sensitive commercial value.

Much better to be honest and upfront and to update the fans on the on-going season ticket situation.

Maybe another one for City Matters to bring up and to discuss with the club?

There isn't a waiting list for season tickets.

Previously If you had a Cityzen membership, you could try and get a season ticket if they went on sale, it was done on points criteria so the more points you had the more chance you had. But none went on sale this season, and its expected if they do next year Silver ticket holders may get first dibs.

There isn't a waiting list for season tickets.

Not even now with Haaland and season tickets sold out this season and definitely selling out next season.

There has to be a season ticket waiting list, just in case some season tickets become available next season.

Hmmm?

Nope no waiting list.

I always thought there wasnt but I have seen and heard conflicting things. As @jrb said in his reply, the club need to be more open and clear on these things. Maybe I'm turning into an FOC.
I'm not sure how more open they can be barring confirming if silver tickets get priority over cityzens, if you ask theyll tell you they're isn't a waitong list. They cant know how many tickets will be available as they don't know how many will renew.

I suspect the club don’t know what their doing yet either. If the silver ST was a success, I suspect they may turn towards that in the future and further limit the volume of out and out STs. They’ll be working off the numbers, and they’ll want to measure the impact of it this season.
