Snooker

Been a good World Championship so far. The game last night between Robert Milkins and Junxu Pang was very nervy ending 10-9 to Milkins, I like those games. Mark Williams trying all the tricks in his game, bit naughty and Si Jiahui nearly fell for it but triumphed 10-9. Ding vs Lisowski could be a close one too.

Really enjoying it. Lots of seeds losing and lots of tight games. Dominic Dale aside!

Dale and Milkins never look like snooker players for some reason but I want to see them both win.
Dale looks like an Opera singer, which he actually does in his spare time.

Milkins looks like a generic bloke you meet in a pub on a Friday night, but can pot a mean ball. Slight Alex Higgins vibes about him. Probably hasn’t achieved what he could have, given his ability.

Always liked Shaun Murphy.

His cueing is unbelievable and Stephen Henry said he's the purest hitter of a ball he's ever seen however he is prone to laspes in concentration which could cost him in this longer tournament.

He's also a very good commentator as well. Tells it how it is and was also very vocal in the match fixing scandal

He’s a cracking player but I can’t like him, can’t put my finger on why though. I hope Maguire stuffs him in round 2 but annoyingly it means he’ll be on BBC comms then if that happens. Will have to switch to Eurosport :)

No denying he's a good player but most players wait till their game is tapering off before heading to the commentary box. Murphy though, being the strutting peacock he is, is doing both. Must like the sound of his own voice. Suppose we should be thankful that he's not actually mic'd up while actually at the table. If there's any planned protesters making an appearance this year then they should throw whatever over his sequins instead of a table.

Another seed out...

Is there any tougher first round in sport than the Snooker World Championship?
