Snow

Snowing here in Aire valley. Local weather report says: Temp 0°, Real Feel minus 7. Not going out.
 
Still falling steadily here. 3inches or more. Nothing moving, even the rooks are silent.

A good 5-6 inches here already in Kippax. Nice and quiet though, no cars can get up the hill to go past my house. Fortunately no accidents, just comedy as they slide backdown the incline and are forced to turn around.

I rode my bike to work this morning in the freezing rain. Sick of getting on the poverty wagon as I just feel like I’m sat in a covid Petri dish.

It was actually refreshing and the ride home was easy, it was a bit warmer and wasn’t raining.
 
I'm planning on riding my bike to work in the morning. It's only a 30 minute commute, but there ae a couple of gnarly hills to negotiate. I travel North to South, and tomorrows forecast looks like I'm going to have to contend with >30mph Easterly cross-winds on the last section of my ride. It's going to be f*cking freezing. I recon it's going to take a good 5 to 10 minutes longer.

Luckily, I swapped my slick road tyres out for some mixed surface tyres on Friday, so I should have a bit more bite on the hills. I also serviced my brakes yesterday and put new pads on the back.
