Snow

Yes, it can stay there. I don’t like the snow and ice. Frightened to death of slipping now that I’m in my early 60’s. I slipped on sheet ice when I was about 40 and went with a right bang on the side of my head got a right shiner, since then have been scared of slipping.
In Canada we shuffle for 4 months of the year. Allowing your feet to leave the ground is a no-no.

If you're not sure then don't take the chance, it's not worth it at all.

It'll soon be cracking the pavements Summer is nigh ;)

Went for a 3 mile walk this afternoon. The snow was blowing off the fields across the road, so it was a case of walking with the wind behind me outwards and into my face coming back.

-14, but quite refreshing.

We've had this for a week now, but the forecast is for it to warm up to around zero next week and then cool down again. The sooner spring comes the better.

woke up to a snowy outlook here in North Yorkshire - had to clear snow and frost off the car so I could see to move it - meanwhile next door neighbour has just started washing his car ???????????????

I'm the same. Fell twice in one day early 2021, once on the way to work and again on the way home. Second time was the worst, had mild concussion for a few hours.
Frightens me to death now.

There's actually two possible dates that mark the start of spring....

https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/arid-41062022.html

I'd personally go with the latter (march 1st). February seems too early in the year to be called spring. Anyway, the car park at work this morning.....

Must be the snowdrop marketing board that try to convince that February is Spring!

No snow settled here yet and we’re 200m+ up. Just a few flakes swirling around.

I watched an interesting film about this but I think the recording was damaged or something.

Was presented by Bill Murray but the same scene kept repeating itself.

Sent it back for a refund.

Metrological spring (the dates they use for rainfall data etc) is 1st March.
We were always told spring began on 21 March, which was also a relations birthday. Not disputing what you say, more just agreeing with AHT so it's come from somewhere lol
