So how many?

Only been to three home games this season , didnt go to the Palace game because i dont think its worth £53 for a ticket , food, drink, travelling costs , parking etc.,which will add up to over £100 to watch us play a mid table team who will play like most teams frustrate , timewaste and contribute very little to a game of football.
On top of the issues i have with Gpay and the fact i have to queue up for a printed ticket at the ticket office , and when i requested permission to print at home the club curtly replied it wasnt an option
There are a couple of friends who like to take to occasional games , maybe 5 or 6 a year and i used to book their tickets , i now tell them i cant be bothered with the hassle and will be rarely attending home games
The casual supporter who decides on the day of the game to go to a match is definitely being put off , not many are willing to jump through hoops and older generation fans cant be doing with the mither.
Many will say i am an non computer savvy old git , but nothing further from the truth , i bank on line etc etc and like most spend far too much on the internet , spotify , youtube , ebay , amazon , and the rest , although i do abstain from all the social media bollocks. Tried everything to get Gpay working with different e-mails and accounts and it just doesnt work for me, i want to print my ticket at home , the club have refused , so i will pick and choose games i believe will be worth £100 a time.
Having attended close on 1500 games home and away its a frustrating end to watching the club i love , but my garden is now looking immacuate , every cloud.

City sold Palace's returns so demand is there but you can't stop seasoncard no-shows especially for games like Palace. Two seats next to me were empty. I think they are seasoncard holders

Edit: Checked BBC match report and the official attendance was given as 53,014

City evidently put the Palace returns up for sale but that section was less than 50 per cent full, and how was the website indicating on Friday it was impossible to buy two seats together in there or anywhere else in the entire stadium?

Something doesn't smell right, as that third tier away area is not designated for City season ticket holders, so that's not the issue.

53,014, I'd guess the attendance was closer to 45k, so that's a lot of no-shows if that is just season ticket holders not turning out.

Got to be a factor, although I also deferred but my seats and seemingly still being sold on a match by match basis.

I deferred my season card (mainly cos of Avanti as I posted earlier), but at the start of the season I booked tickets for 7 games using a Citizen's card (inc. yesterday) and was able to secure my 'own' seat for every single one!

1st tyesterday I have missed a game due to traffic. M62 closed at 1pm at Huddersfield.
Were many other Yorkshire blues stuck in this and did any get to the game?
years ago I wouldn’t have had a problem with parking up at 2.55 and getting in a bit late but now it seems that you will miss a fair chunk even if you are in the queue at 2.30

As did I, which goes a long way to suggest even people like us who have deferred, are still going when they can.

This is how i feel, We have three season tickets and up until this season when one of us couldnt go we could always lend the card to a friend or another family member. Now i have to get them to register with city etc and i just cant be bothered with this nonsense. So we have had several empty seats this season due to the club making something very simple much more of a hassle. I know this also applies to several who also sit round us.

Could be our last season as season ticket holders.
Would agree with this as well. Usually I go to games with my lad but on the odd occasion when he is doing things, my wife used to have his card, now with new system, which I am not against, she has to register as a supporter for the ticket transfer system.
For the Burnley game which he couldn't attend my daughter said she would like to come along as well. There are four seats in front of us in 142 which have been empty all season that used to be season ticket holders but they gave them up for various reasons, yet when I went to look for a seat all four were blocked out yet they were all empty on the day of my the game.
It does make you wonder if the club were happier when there were no crowds in the ground as it was less hassle for them.

Yes mate. The driver of the Harrogate Blues coach did a great job and we got to the ground in time for kick off (when I eventually got in lol). We were fairly close to the accident so got rolling soon after the road was cleared. Hopefully, everyone in the collision is OK.

Yesterday for the first time ever (if my memory serves me right) there were 6 empty seats around me. The two seats next to me and seats in the row behind. That was the immediate row behind and I did notice that there were empty seats behind that and also further down the second row toward the Tunnel club area.

The two seats next to me were taken over by some people who had been moved from their normal seats but at the last game were allowed back there. So I wonder if they have been re-allocated their original seats which I know they really wanted.

I did notice that there seemed to be more empty seats than normal across from me as well, more on the second tier than usual.

As an (maybe) amusing aside. On MOTD last night I can be seen giving Patrick Vierra a shout to get back in his technical area!! Only a quick 5 second or so glimpse but it's lucky that I don't swear eh? :-)

I said at the time and was shouted down that cheap season tickets would cause more half hearted fans to pick & choose games they could be arsed coming to.

Not sure what the answer is, halfway up SS3 there's people missing every game, not always the same game but unless what is perceived top match it's rarely full.

Maybe charge more and a rebate for actually attending but, I'd have visions of people bleeping in with 3 cards to make sure they didn't miss out.

so your answer is to increase prices? Cheaper tickets should be welcomed and be put in place throughout the ground.

the club could say if you miss 5 games we suspend your season ticket for the next 3 games perhaps

the Expensive corporate seats are the seats that we don’t fill and struggle to sell . The club also make lots of seats completely unavailable and give them to corporate/ tourist packages
