city fans have always had a lot of respect for beckham. i remember when everyone was kindly throwing money to him at maine road.

A Rag player in my opinion is one who is ingrained in their high & mighty disposition ala Beckham, Neville et al. Tevez went to the swamp, played, got paid & moved on to bigger and better things. I never felt uncomfortable about Tevez coming here as a player, but I suppose you'd be quite ok with either Beckham or Neville becoming a Blue based on your comments! Whether it made football sense or not, it would be hard for me to swallow to see either of them in a City shirt.

So because you met 'Beckham for a brief few seconds on a few occasions' you can make an impression of him and give such a sickly sweet opinion of his character based on a few seconds on a few occasions? I bet you've got a brown ring around your neck as a result of your 'meetings'.



I'm not saying he hasn't got a nice bone in his body, but you are being extremely naive if you believe that everything he does comes from his heart because he's a nice guy and it has nothing to do with Brand Beckham!!

And where do I mention him doing anything bad or call him a twat? Rinsing out a brass is his choice and something that millions of men accross the globe do daily!! I couldn't give a rats arse what Beckham gets up to in his spare time because I've got too much going on in my own life to be interested!!!

What does do my nut in is having to see his cheesy face all over my newspaper just because he's shagged a brass!!! Ironically, he's now become a victim of the same machine that made him in the first place, he shouldn't complain about his exposure when it doesn't suit brand Beckham!!!



Look at Beckham very carefully, I've seen him push other players out of the way, grab hold of the goal-scorer and position himself in front of the camera!!! Other players may do this on occasion, but Beckham has consistently done this everytime a goal is scored over the last 10 years!!!

Other players will run toward the goal-scorer and celebrate with them, but Beckham makes sure he never misses the photo opportunity of the headline making pose of him & the goal-scorer on their own!!

Just look through your 'Best of Beckham' DVD collection without the Brand Beckham supplied spectacles!!! You'll be amazed with what you see!!!

I'm not going to respond in depth to this level of stupidity, but all I will say is that you seem like a very disturbed person.

Mate I'm not disturbed, I'm just being honest about my feelings toward that one particular person which is my right. If you're happy being a part of the Brand Beckham Bandwaggon, that's your choice to make, but don't make cheap, ill informed, empty-headed responses to my considered musings just because I choose not to be swept along the Brand Beckham media tidal-wave like you have been!!!

And finally; name me one other footballer who has his own brand? Exactly!!

Brand Beckham was the foundation behind Bacon-face curtailing Beckham's swamp career early. I'll never forget seeing Beckham driving into training with an Alice Band in his hair to show the world his war wound after Bacon-face lobbed a boot in his head!!! That is exactly what I mean about Beckham being more arsed about his celebrity than his football and what Mancini meant when he recently told Adam Johnson to forget about being a celebrity and concentrate on his football career and Manchester City!!!! Amen to that!!!

Also, there's about 500 footballers with their own 'brand', the whole world of footballers and sponsorship works around the 'brands' of footballers. Perhaps you should look up the legal ruling on John Terry and why the Bridge/Terry story was considered fair game

What because Terry was a Brand or because he knobbed his best mates Missus, made her pregnant, paid for the abortion and like all rich people of power and privilage, tried to get the court to stop the story from becoming public?

There is also a major difference between celebrity endorsements and Brands, I think you need to look up the difference.

Because in a court ruling, it was determined that John Terry built his 'brand' around that as a family man, thus sponsorship deals were effected by his indiscretions thus he couldn't invoke the super-injunction on privacy concerns.

So there's another football 'brand' for you. Add Rooney to the list, Ferdinand too, Robinho, Ronaldinho, Messi, Ronaldo, Tevez, Yaya, Eto'o, Park, Gerrard, Torres, Vieira, Silva, Villa, etc, etc.
