So tevez claims the problem is...

...but I thought this was all bollocks... we were told so in no uncertain terms by all the usual media "experts" on here last night - sorry but those guys (and you know who you are) don't have a fucking clue and it's about time some of you had the balls to admit you were way out of line.

With regard to Tevez... no player bigger than MCFC; end of.

(sits back and waits for more clueless vitriol)

I'm honestly not that fussed.

Tevez was great because he worked his sock off and scored goals. But he was far from a clinical finisher. In fact he squandered loads of chances and only scored as many as he did because he missed even more. There's a dozen strikers around the world who are as good or better and we maybe have 2 of them on the payroll already (although Mancini will never play one of them for some reason.)

I'd rather Tevez was staying and committe to the cause, but as he isn't, fuck hi.

-- Sun Dec 12, 2010 9:36 pm --

I'm honestly not that fussed.

You people make me sick how many of you posting on here have sang Fergie sign him up after pulling City out of the crap agaian? If you have then don't come on here and show yourself up by saying Tevez can F off etc. Who is Gary Cook obh he is a shoe sales man for Nike who once at a City's fans forum said and i quoute i would like to wish a warm welcome to Manchester United Fans, enough said the man is a tool and Tevez is a world class player i know who i would choose to f off

i for one will be really pissed off if city succomb to his posturing and offer him a shed full of money. we are better thsan the reds. he wont ever get a cheer from me again. he is tainted.

The thing that would mark us out as a club on the up is if we can use this to our advantage;

- sort out any other issues in the squad
- establish just what has annoyed Tevez - is his behaviour reasonable or not?
- establish a harder line with agents if this is the problem
- use Tevez as a bargaining chip for other players at Barcelona or Madrid, if he goes. I do like Tevez and would still take him back but he isn't a great finisher and other players, such as a Torres, would also do a job for us.

We shouldn't sell ourselves short in this situation - we have the money to buy a replacement, a top manager and a very talented squad. How we deal with this will send out a huge message, particularly after the way that lot caved in over Rooney. This could make us, not break us.

There was a time not very long ago when this would have crushed the club. As it is we have bigger fish to fry than any one player, if Tevez goes then replace him with Torres and imo we get a better player when fully fit. Tevez has been sensational for us but this club is much bigger than any one player now.

Close the door on your way out, Carlito.

never seen BM in such a mood, from disbelief and disappointment,as the news broke, the backlash has reached fever-pitch,the server is in meltdown, and no end in sight.Seems to have brought everyone(nearly) together in an entirely unexpected way.Never saw this coming that's for sure

Because it is an utter disgrace and anyone who thinks otherwise is insane.

So what do you reckon Cook as done to piss him off ? None of us know what but it can only be one of 2 or 3 things
1) Refused to renegotiate a contract that has 3.5 years to run and one which is already paying him a fantastic wage and allegedly the highest at the club. If so then I back Gary.

2) Allowed a video to go out which was recordied a bit ago, which portrays Carlos as being happy when in fact he's decided now he's not. If true then so what, hardly warrants a transfer request.

3) Maybe not allowed him to fly back to his family as many times as he would like.
Think we've bent over backwards to help him and allow him to fly back when whe should have told him "you are earning a fortune, get your wife and kids over here, because (1) you can afford it (2) you are a professional & (3) half of this world have blokes living away from their families and they have to get on with it and keep there jobs. And if they won't come then you should have worked that out before you signed up for big money and you should have stayed earning what you could in Argentina"

What else could Cook have done to upset him ?

Ok Carlos has been brilliant for us on the pitch but his petulance last week and general contempt of City hierarchy says he thinks he is bigger than everyone. Yeah I have sung "Fergie sign him up" and I loved him coming here but if he treats my club like this he can f*** off.
