As a level 2 season card holder in the East Stand we've been told our season cards will go up to at least £1150 in 2015 and that's in block 209, so not on the half way line. Individually I could probably afford to pay that amount, but that would mean limited away trips and certainly put an end to European trips. Collectively, the people who sit in the same vicinity as me have all got accustomed to sitting together and would prefer to continue to do so, but that is highly unlikely unless we all accept a vastly inferior location. The justification for the price increase is access to the 'Club Level' with bars, superior food outlets and betting facilities. All of these 'benefits' are payable on top of the £1150 season card cost and given that almost all of us use our own transport to and from the stadium more than one pint at the match isn't an option anyway. There is already a number of executive seating both in the East Stand and the Colin Bell Stand and personally I cannot see that there will be the take up rate for a fully corporate level 2. By that time of course it will be too late as we will have already been forced to move seats.

Forgive me if i'm wrong but the club did notify Level 2 people that they were going to upgrade the seats with a price hike a few years ago.

And prices are about £150-250 more than they were then.

It was £720 in Colin Bell Level 1 this year. That's not going to be far shy of £850 next year.

Think the price structure is ok. I think for the domestic cup games they could extend the kid for quid and think of other ways of really cheep tickets for young adults. They are the future. Would love to see 62000 against York on a wet midweek cup game. For real ;-)

I suppose that if they extend the kids for a quid too much, that will become the expectation. The differential between that and the "normal" price will seem much bigger. People who are currently prepared to pay the normal rate for their kid(s) will only take them when its a quid. And when the kids become adults the increase in price will be hugely off putting.

Good point. But in the early stages of cup games it may benefit us long term if we can fill the ground. Maybe an even cheaper ticket for the adult/adults taking kids. Best use what would be empty seats to market the club. Those of us that go week in week out should see what the club is doing. But joe blogs who's never been to a game takes his kids as a treat. Yes he will be shocked at the price difference with bigger games and may not go to those, but his kids won't be kids one day. That's when some become one of us.

They did, and they have hiked the price up considerably over the last 2 or 3 years. There are many people who've had the same seat since we moved from Maine Road and it will be interesting to see now the club accommodates those people who are forced out of their seats.

and forgive me if I am wrong, but I have sat in my "same" seat since the Kippax went all-seater 20 years or so ago (we were moved across to the new stadium as close as possible to where we were) and I had that season ticket cos I queued to get a good un and have renewed it for every year since, so I get financially fucked for my loyalty, and cheap snots like you make cheap shots like that. And yes I am not fucking rich so will have to move away from lads I have sat with for decades
