Sabbath may well have been the first metal band but Ozzy is just so limited. Seen them both countless times and Dio pisses all over Ozzy and he was responsible for Sabbath to come back with 2 killer albums in The Mob Rules and Heaven and Hell. Ozzy had Randy Rhodes and later Zakk Wylde to rely on otherwise he'd have been lost. He can tell a great story and he may well live off his crazy lifestyle but as far as singers go it's a no contest. Dio's work with Elf, Rainbow, Sabbath and Heaven and Hell is far superior to Ozzy's handful of excellent early stuff and first two solo albums.

Dio was the voice of Metal, i'd give that title to Glenn Hughes now.
