Solo/Frontman *FINAL* Mick Jagger Vs David Bowie

Re: Solo/Frontman Phil Lynott Vs Roger Waters

Rog by more than a large distance. Not really a correct match this as Lynott been gone a long time

Re: Solo/Frontman Phil Lynott Vs Roger Waters

As 'frontman'.....can only be Lynott.

Even the most rabid (and they all seem to be) Floyd fan can't argue that Waters comes close to the charisma and stage presence of Phillip...?

Cant disagree with last part mate, but on a music side it is hard to compare someone that died at 36 to someone still performing at 69

But thats what this is all about....best frontman, not musical ability etc. And even dead Lynott has more charisma than Waters....he has zero, and as a frontman is bland and boring.....

Sorry thought it was about music

Re: Solo/Frontman Phil Lynott Vs Roger Waters

Lynott - huge waste of a talent. Fantastic songwriter and stage performer. I always thought he'd have been fantastic as Hendrix if they'd got round to making a film about Jimi. Same lanky coolness although he'd have to pretend to play left handed.

Phil.....caught 'Live & Dangerous' by chance on SkyArts last night..just brilliant (overdubbed to buggery,no doubt, but still brilliant)

A battle of the anti-frontmen. No charisma. Can't decide sorry.

Idiot. Just realised its Beck, not Jeff Beck. Makes no difference still can't decide.

Re: Solo/Frontman Beck Vs Lou Reed

Lou Reed by a country mile. Influence on so many bands and artists including Beck himself. He has a decent and varied back catalog, half of which is shite, the other half is genius. That's what you get when you sail close to the edge as an artist.
