I know this game meant a lot to us, but it is a bit sad that people have to point the finger at someone. maybe the team aren't the only ones who have a bit to learn about winning and losing!

it's one game. the neutrals have given us great credit for our performance, we are being taken seriously now. it's not the end of the season. it's not the end of anything, apart from a great cup run.

if we get to a champs league semi next year and lose to barcelona, are people going to be ripping into the manager and the team then? in it's own way these two games were just as big, the opposition just as strong, the games just as tactical and hard fought.

it's a chance lost, but it's a big step forward. it's not even the last chance we have this year, let alone next year and the year after, the year after.....

Obviously stupid calling for mancini out atm but it was definately the wrong tactics tonight. Ive not been impressed by some team selections and our approach to the 2 carling cup games but what hes done with the back four considering its included boyata and garrido has been good. Still not convinced in the long run though.

Found out before the match that a co-worker who I played 5-a-side with on Tuesday, was diagnosed with cancer at 5pm.

Calling for Mancinni's head is laughable. With virtually all our first choice defence missing for both legs, having to play the first leg at home and in this leg a tipped ref, we scared the shit out of them. They have one chance for a trophy this season, the league cup. There's every chance they will finish outside the top 2 and if thats so then its the champions league play off for them. How sweet would be if we can finish in the top four and then knock them out of the champions league. We have to look at (once again), yet another season with a paucity of quality and depth in our squad. Remember our season will only be a success if we finish in the top four, winning a trophy would be a bonus not an alternative, but we could be looking at a top 4, two semi-finals, possibly one final and a trophy. For the rags, winning the league cup would be a playing failure and a financial one. Not winning anything would be slightly worse, but boy, oh boy, finshing 3rd means the play offs after a world cup, if we finish fourth, we be able to recruit on a level that others will gape in awe at and that will most certainly see us being two strong for the rags, scoucers, vill, spuds next season with only the chelski brigade (all a bit older) and the arse scum (if they have been able tom keep hold of Diaby and Cesc), so they got away with the win tonight , they have the best player in europe in Rooney, but the germans had plenty of success in the early part of the war, then Germany was left bombed to the ground and divided, you can't halt the future.

cant wait for portsmouth. we need to stop being concerned with what united are doing and concentrate on our own goals. i dont care if united win the "mickey mouse cup" as they have named it. we have bigger fish to fry dont we.....
