Something’s changed

How we market Haaland and any relevant success for him and the club, is gonna have a massive effect on our future, we get this right (which we are so far) and he won’t be the last. Madrid built their modern day success on the Galactico concept, they proved with the right marketing & brand of football, you can be very successful on & off the pitch, which has now spanned several decades & umpteen CL’s. As crazy as it sounds, this might only be the beginning

I know it's obvious but I think Haaland has taken us to another level globally. We have a genuine world superstar who transcends tribal boundaries, no way would we have sold out that game as last night in previous seasons. It commercially made sense to play him some part, though we do have to be careful. Nice feeling around the place and it seems to me Grealish, Foden and even to some extent Palmer last night are riding on the coat tails
I think the prospect of us going 3 or 4 goals up in the first half of games bodes well for the younger players getting PL minutes in their legs this season. The 4 or 5 subs will be more inclined to be availed of.

Also I don’t see him having a goal drought streak as being too big an issue either, because I think it would be much more likely because he’s double or triple marked, than him missing chances.

That means the likes of Gundo Foden Jack Alvarez or whoever, will most likely be getting the room to add to their tallies.

Madrid didn't have it right, they are one of the most corrupt clubs in world football, but nobody bats an eyelid when madrid do the shit they do, Barcelona the same, and both are financially in the shit now

I know Im a moaning old twat but now we are starting to sell out CL games I might give them a miss next season.

Although its good to have new fans buying up the tickets last night was a pain in the arse with people on their phones, getting up to buy food on 25 mins etc etc really pissing me off.

The fan base is certainly different in CL matches witnessed by the phone bollox on 70 minutes.

I know its the new world but its not really for me at times.

I disagree. The row in front of us the 2 season ticket holders arrive 10 minutes into the game, leave 10 mins before the end of the game and have fuck all interaction with the game. Last night there was a middle aged couple from Brazil in their seats, they loved being there, stayed to the end, clapped off the players and were saying how much they enjoyed watching City live having supported us from Brazil. I’ll take their enthusiasm over the two regulars any time
