Something’s changed

19 pages in and nothing but stories of how fans of different clubs, kids everybody want to see him.
So why do our media act like shithouse rats, first he's injury prone, then Nunez is better, followed by only 7 touches in a match, leaving for Madrid (which morphed into a clause in his contract saying they had first dibs at a reduced price) and now when the contact shite is debunked he's on 800k a week.
We all know the answer and the simple reply to it is #buyacoffee.
There isn't much more they can invent now, apart from the exclusive on how he encouraged his dad to end that nice Roy Keane's career.

If someone told you in 20 years one of these players will have a son that’s the most lethal striker in the world….you’d have picked Alfie wouldn’t you?
funny you know when Haaland senior was pounced on by Keane I thought I'd love it if Alfie had a son and he ...

At the time I was pretty happy with those signings!
On topic: I noticed here in Germany a change in the media I use (Sky and Süddeutsche Zeitung) from the little money digs to almost awe and admiration. It started with the Haaland show, but is not limited to him. It's nice for a change. There is still the notion off course that City is spending more money than the others, and that money somehow is not "right". We need to spread the work of @BlueBrain so everyone can see we are avtually spending less than most other PL teams, and that since 5 years.

Bump. Something has changed. Just a dozen games ago many on here (me included) were bumping our gums re ‘not liking’ this iteration of us as much as others. Now look at us.
So what has changed to transform our performance?
Is it Dias return to his best form?
Is it Cancelo getting the bums rush?
Grealish and Ake? A combination of these factors? Are we playing faster?
What do folk think?

It's a combination of many things but could include Dias back and leading the team despite who has the armband. A more settled back three / four. The evolution of John Stones. Haaland being more involved with the play. Grealish performing like the player everyone on here thought he couldn't despite it being obvious that he just needed time. Players not worried about staying fit for the World Cup and playing with freedom. The squad being all on the same page re the season's goals.

Playing faster for sure but Dias returning to form gives us so much at the back and as an organiser. Pep also seems to have finally found his best 11.

The fire in the belly is the biggest thing. Maybe Dias getting fully fit has helped this. Pep also seems to make better substitutions and at the right times. Kev was starting to flag, brings on Alvarez to keep the pressing going.
