Agree on the disdain for Simply Red. Holding Back the Years is easily my most hated song. If Van Gogh had been around to hear them he'd have cut his other fucking ear off.

I couldn’t name you the title of any of the songs, wouldn’t be able to name you any of the artists or groups; but these pop chart rnb acts with their half singing half rapping mostly auto-tuned dirge and drum machine taps and clicks as the “music”. I find it all utterly utterly shit!
