I think that is part of the thinking. No point sacking him before as a heavy loss in that game and all the pressure would be on the owners. Might as well keep him on - even if its wile they start talking to other managers. It's easier for them to go into the derby with him as the boss and then sack him if they lose - or look good if they get a result.

Like the verdict I would keep in charge until the Polar ice caps melt and the sun ceases to have solar minimums and ex Manure players cease getting jobs on British television as " pundits" whichever occurs latest in timeline.

It’s great fun though isn’t it. I cringe at every pre/post match interview he does. There’s only so much bullshit you can disguise before you get found out. Crazy to think that Unites who were so dominant just over 10 years ago have now got an ex player now manager spouting bollocks about the past teams rather than speaking about his own team.
