Southampton (A) - Carabao Cup | Post Match Thread

tonight shows that squad players cannot form a good enough team on their own and Gomes may never start another game for thus team since we’re out of the Carabao. They just looked too unfamiliar with each other - 4/5 of them arrived this year.

I don't understand why we can press hard in one game and are then completely passive in the next? Is it fatigue? I can only assume that it is since desire has never been an issue with any of these players.

Well played Southampton, we were awful but they wanted it more and had the desire to fight for every ball.

Those who started tonight need to have a long hard look at themselves, nowhere near good enough to play for this team. Those who came on, the game had already gone but still lacking fight.

We seem to be lacking that nasty bastard of a player in games like this.

We need to dip into the market in January to give this squad a boost…somethings not right.

Gomez, Phillips are not going to be good enough. We’d have been miles better off keeping Zin and lavia.

Starting to have serous concerns if grealish will ever consistently come good for us, Palmer too unfortunately.

The drop off in cancelo and Foden is alarming.

Southampton will be rightly delighted with their performance tonight, but their supporters might well ask where the fuck those performances have been in the PL.

City definitelypoor tonight and looked like there were no answers to their poor performance across the whole team.

Pep needs to get them focussed before the weekend now after such a poor performance.

Quite poetic watching him make Phillips look like a Sunday league player
No , Phillips does it all on his own. Sorry to say we are worse this year than last.Phillips adds nothing and Jack has not kicked on as he should have and as for Gomez, hope he has his bike outside
