Southampton totally deserved it. They played with the passion that tells you they want to be in a LC semi final.
We were very poor and never in the game. Could hardly pass the ball to one another. Or create any good chances. Play like this and even the rags can beat us on their day.
Subs didn’t change a lot. Attitude was just wrong and it’s very hard to change that within a game.

Fair play to Southampton. No one gave them a chance. But they fully deserve their win!
The less said about us the better. That first half was as bad as I can remember since Pep has been here. Slightly better second half but still really poor.
A lot of our squad are not as good as many think they are.

Phillips isn't a patch on Fernandinho. Gomez is nowhere near Zinchenko. Palmer is nowhere near Sterling.
The squad is much weaker despite adding Haaland. We don't have anyone who can stretch the pitch out wide.
We want to play inverted fullbacks yet sold our best fullback for that system.
It's the weakest squad iteration since Pep joined. And Pep is having a really poor season too. So many erratic decisions, the system doesn't fit the personnel.

Came up against a team who simply wanted it more. They outplayed and outfought us and fully deserved their win.
Pep’s got a lot of work to do because we’re currently boring as fuck to watch. 5 goals in six away games, with 3 coming against Leeds, sums up our performances. We get the ball out wide high up the pitch and do nothing but turn and pass back. It’s cowardly football which I’d never associate with a Pep side.
