Pep Guardiola: "They [strikers] know they have to score, everybody knows it, but everybody is involved to create more clear chances. This is all we can do."

Pep Guardiola: "We have to play better. We create chances and we can play better. We were not able to do some principles perfectly lately and we have to come back on this. It is not just the responsibility of the strikers

: "The government decided, nothing more to add. I wait for them to take good decisions for society. If they believe they can, I am happy. If they believe we cannot have fans for the welfare of everyone, that is welcome

Would like to see something like this:

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Dias
Cancelo
Fernandinho
Gundogan
De Bruyne
Bernardo
Torres
Aguero

Aguero is struggling apparently. Training but not throughout the entire week. Sounds like he might be a sub

Obviously I would like to see AGuero fit but I don't think Aguero would make a difference. It's not taking chances that the problem, it's creating them.

People see the headline stats re lack of goals and assume strikers but other than the odd game we've really struggled to create chances.

The plus point for this season is the defence, and the fact that the other leading clubs are also struggling.

Abandon the double pivot please.
You think City's struggles come down to tactics? I

My solution would be to select players who play with the intensity associated with Manchester City. No one wins games in this league unless they work hard and our midfield is too often at snail's pace. Passes move faster than players but you also need players to have the power and speed to create space for themselves.

The poll just shows we don't believe we'll score (enough).
We're frustrated to see all those chances and the poor finishing.
It's the only problem. Had we scored and won 3 or 4 more games we'd call our performances dominant and having a smart match plan...
The goals will/must come, we have to get through this.
Anyway, extremely frustrating.
I am not as confident that "goals will come". I think teams have decided to collapse on our forward skill players 2 and 3 on 1 in possession in the box and man-mark De Bruyne because (1) an unmarked Rodri with possession 30 yards out is no threat to pick a pass or score; our FBs often aren't either (2) we aren't a threat on aerial crosses, especially as we don't make runs, nor corners; (3) if you man-mark DeBruyne -- denying him time and space -- we don't have a different creative outlet and when Silva played a alongside him you had to choose who to shadow, and if you shadowed them both you left gaps; and (4) there's no reason to be dragged wide because we almost never run an overlap. What we get is plenty of the ball and opportunities to score, but not as many good opportunities.

We're an odd duck. We're a defensive-minded side with zero counter-attacking goals because we always have possession.

We are creating chances but not taking them, you think sergio being on the end of them wont help ?

Why not make a virtue out of a problem?

With City's current defence we can expect clean sheets. With clean sheets you can expect to win games even if it's 1-0, I don't care. That's partly why I would play Foden and Bernardo together whenever possible. They would make it even more difficult for teams to score against us and hence we' could win games despite not scoring anything like as many goals.

This to me seems the most likely way out of this. Even though we played very badly at home to WBA, we really should have won that game 1-0 and would have done had it not been for a fluke deflection. They say you make your own luck but in that game WBA had about 2 attacks and in one of them their shot got a deflection that took it away from Ederson whereas we had about 20 attempts and although they were far from clinical you'd expect some lucky bounce but no, didn''t happen.

Because he has been shit . do you want people to say well done your having a blinder . I have always stuck for him in past seasons but at the moment he is dire.

Sterling not been great 3 goals in last 3 games 1 goal 2 assists sterling so hes doing better than a lot of others.
