Agreed mate but the lads are well under the cosh currently and we have no god giving right to win 5-0 every week?

I'm giving them the Ged given right to win 5-0 every week. And twice a week when required.

I dont usually throw out the spoilt card but come on , just because we are used to beautiful football doesnt mean the lads can do it all the time, all these buses means the games are a slog , games against the bigger teams who have to try and win are better for us

That’s what I’m trying to say, ok you can expect the lower sides but it’s all but a couple who give very little other than a counter. Suppose I was brought up in an era when the game was open.

I could slate Liverpool all night long without taking a breath, but the one thing they have done, to their credit, is bring the game to City when they could.
I understand why lower placed teams park the tanks, but if I were the manager I'd go out crazy attacking style. I would be expected to lose, so go down with a fight, not a whimper.
But, I suppose when a mgrs job is resting on paper thin ice, he will get a bit nervy.

What should be worrying for everyone else and encouraging for us is that although we aint playing great and we all know that we are STILL winning, we know we will get better, we know players will kick on and so does everyone else and now we've added winning ugly to our attributtes as well.

I didn't think that was bad at all. I think the team looked the most cohesive unit they have this season and, but for poor finishing, we'd be quite happy. The lack of goals from midfield is a bit of a worry though.

What's the fuss about clean sheets? 4-1 wouldn't have been a clean sheet but would have been less stressful and better for the GD.

There is so much football, and injuries are mounting up. Two games a week, Premier League, Champions League, League Cup, International break. With a small squad that Pep likes to work with, so you need your big hitters fit.

You take a win every day of the week, Forget the stats or performance because you can play perfect football and lose. The only stat that matters is the first one City 1.0 Southampton and top of the league

Didn't think we were particularly bad really. On another day Haaland buries one of the bigger chances and the game is forgotten by Christmas. This three points is worth just as much as any other during the course of the season.

Our fans are like the press in alot of ways, if the dippers or the tarquins had put in that performance today it would have been lauded as a professional win by an injury hit squad but apparently we hung on against southampton, its bullshit, watch the game, we didnt hang on at all we were very professional and squandered changes but still got the win, dont buy the narrative.

All while being way off our best. It feels like every game is the biggest at the minute, just want to get through it with a win not arsed about the performance. Let’s try get to the next international break top of the league and hopefully the injury situation will improve.
