We beat Mark Hughes's Stoke City 7:2 last year.

In terms of league distance between teams, on paper, this is arguably the 'easiest' fixture that we currently have until January. That said, Southampton are a stuffy lot- most draws in the league (4) and they've only shipped 3 goals in two games: Liverpool(H) and Chelsea(A)- so it's hard to see it being a walk in the park this afternoon. One of those games where an early goal, or two in quick succession, would be most welcome.
