Ake simply has to play left back at Anfield, he could do with a game there before being thrown in the deep end and I don't think Copenhagen will give him any worries so has to be this. laporte to play this before getting a rest midweek and being fresh and available next weekend. Gundogan sitting out purely on rotation having played 90 midweek. foden and Haaland are certain starters and I'd go mahrez to see whether he can find some form after getting a goal midweek.
I expect us to come out flying and put these to the sword early, we've seen how they can frustrate and threaten us if we're not fully on it from the start. I think we're just about to hit our stride in what's usually our customary Christmas title winning run and with the generous fixture list before the world Cup combined with a brutal one afterwards we really have to build up a healthy points tally.

Stone needs banning. But in fairness to Pep and the club we’d be giving them a story. They just bait and want a reaction and he gives them nothing. They must hate it because we’re not giving them copy but it’s a hard watch.
