Apart from Sterling last minute winner a few years back, I haven’t seen City beat Southampton at home for years. I’m not going today so I’m expecting a big win. Hopefully it’s a lucky omen for you.

What a fuckin bench! The whole bench is excellent but I think these 5 would walk into and be a critical part of any other Premiership side.

I've looked at who's voted for a home loss and you're all going on 'the list'. Also that miserable old **** @Indaparkside going for a draw too - obviously cold in the ground this morning:-)

Well, fair enough, but I still think it's odd. Jack plays hands down his best game so far for us in midweek and is then on the bench?! And Gomez looked surprisingly comfortable, for a man who's hardly played.
Now I rate Aké, and I'm far less harsh on Mahrez than many on here, but I just think the selection is a bit odd.
Rodri back in looks right, by contrast, and I'm comfortable with that central pairing at the back.

pep has gone with a little bit more protection at the back with the Ake, also height in defending corners and free kicks because Southampton are a very big team

I think it’s going to be tighter than some are expecting, they will be up for it as they usually are against us and I can see them having 11 in defence and look to hit on the break. I hope for a 3-0 after a nervy first half. Hope I am wrong and we smash them!
