Chas, you could get a London to Mcr National express, find out you've won the lotto on the journey and still be suicidal when you get to Mcr.

I once travelled on National Express from Edinburgh to Manchester for match when the trains were shut down for weekend maintenance and my car was off the road.

The coach left at 11:00pm the night before and crawled along including a long stop at Preston Bus Station. We arrived in Manchester early when virtually everything was shut. It was a miserable trip. I had to go to Piccadilly Station to find somewhere to sit down before the cafes opened.

To top everything I lost my brand new Blackberry phone somewhere on the trip.
