Southampton post match thread

I know your sticking up for your man, but come on, Sterling was atrocious today
He didnt do much riht, and he did a lot wrong. But thats a very black and white way of looking at it. For me, delph and dinho had worse games, as did kolarov and ota. They were directly at fault for the goals conceded

We need 3pts for 4th place or 2 wins for 3rd,rags and West Ham will both drop points.

have u seen utds fixtures...the only ones I'm confident that they won't win is west ham...the other games they have are very easily winnable

I don't think it's true they all don't care, but it only needs a few, plus a few who are past it & a few who are rusty & then put them all together in the same team with a wide open formation.

Even if they'd been lined up play on the break, like the Champs Lg team, it might have been enough, but instead just absolutely wide open. It was a formation, asking players some of whom don't care, some of whom have barely played, some who are past it, to work like fuck & prrform at their best, or we lose.

I can't argue with that.

And you really think a professional bloke in a professional sport will sabotage a clubs fortune to satisfy his own selfish needs?
Jesus wept you're being serious aren't you?
Wum you are mate and arousing my suspicion that you aren't a city fan.

I'm absolutely a City fan.

Pellegrini won't be here next season so what repercussions would he face? None.

He doesn't give a shit.

He only cares about the Champions League for his own ego/so he has the pick of jobs when he fucks off!

Hard to be overly critical of him in a game in which at least nine others are much more deserving of stick, but I agree. Not that I take it as a reflection on him (one of the very few who actually cares), but the 'shaking-the-head-smile' is kind of symptomatic of the malaise that runs through the team/club at the moment. He should have been bollocking everyone, left, right and centre. In fact, after Kolarov stood there and let an opponent walk past him and cross it for the hundredth time, he should have walked out of his goal and twatted the fucking useless lump.
Agree completely. Kolarov left hart in the lunch a couple of time s with poor back passes and hart laughed. He should have bollocked him.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini told BBC Sport: "I'm very frustrated because I didn’t expect that performance - especially in defence. At least four of them [today's line-up] are not playing [regularly].

"I think we could've played on Saturday and named a stronger team. But in this case we had to prioritise Wednesday's game [against Real Madrid].

"The best way to prepare is to win but we couldn’t do it."

Guess what Manuel......nearly all of Bluemoon DID!!!
He's the only one who didn't expect it. I said earlier to my fella that he'd play all the shite and risk our CL place for next year.

Because he doesn't agree with you?

I doubt Pelle is too bothered about top 4 - the focus solely CL.
Some of his selections and subs in the prem are tantamount to sabotage.

i disagree....if we beat madrid (big if but possible) the two other teams left would both hammer us baring a miracle.

i think back to how chelsea won it and they were the most undeserving winners ever and i think we would come close to that.

Prem league should always be a priority (and next year we will be starting off on the back foot if we don't qualify for champs league - we will struggle t attract the players Pep wants and the club wants (the likes of Pogba aint going to come to a team without champs league)...
MP will leave the club in a poorer state than he found it....utterly awful
I disagree, we're two games away from winning the Champs League. I wouldn't even have dared to dream that we'd even be in the Champs League just a few short years ago. If todays team selection helps us get a result in Madrid, and I think it will, then it will be a price worth paying. Just my opinion.

Picture Mark Hughes' face in the dugout or Frank Clark's or Alan Ball & ask yourself if you'd blame the manager then.

What this fucker has got away with because of his 'charming man' facade is fucking incredible.

What's more frightening is that the Spanish dynamic duo who run the show haven't a fucking clue about the English game.

That's far more worrying for me.

I think he did

Was working, so didn't see the game, but let me guess;

Bony -shit and lazy
Sterling - shit and lazy
Kolarov - shit and slow
Otamendi - dived in a lot
Kelechi - better than all of the above added together

Anywhere close?

So the players are not to blame tonight?

Pellegrini picks them and coaches them!

I've seen more organisation at Sunday League level.

We were crying out for a change after 10 minutes today. An extra body in midfield. Anything. The fact he made no subs at half time either says he's too stubborn or too stupid to see what's happening in front of him.

So you are saying he's not arsed about the prem but is spuds deep for the champions league?
You need fuckin help mate....fuckin wind up you pal and a shit one at that.
Your mask is slipping.
