Any ideas for decent pubs for pre and post match on Saturday?

Only went in one last time, think it was called the Kingsland on St. Marys St, but was a shithole and the beer was crap!!

Staying over on Saturday night, so can have a decent pub-crawl, should one exist in Southampton!!

few pubs in soton allow away fans in, but the King Alfred does, its just outside the ground. Bout 10-15 mins from the train station.

best not to cross the railway bridge into the st marys area.
some very dodgy pubs indeed.

The Waterfront Bar looks ok to me over looking a quayside, and not to far from the ground. Will need need to get a taxi from the train station.

Going down Friday morning so can do a reccy in the afternoon :-) my Arsenal mate reckons the Yates' close to the Station is alright as is the Slug and Lettuce, says it's not the best idea to drink round the ground.

bedford place is where most of the half decent bars are. only 10-15 mins walk to stadium and a wetherspoons ( the giddy bridge ) nearby. loads of takeaways as well and on way to stadium from train station.
