Southampton pubs

just seen this on another city forum

Hello blues.

I work at a pub in Southampton called The Cellar, where the owner is a blue, the chef is a blue, and some other staff members are indeed blues... To me that constitutes a City pub!

We're having a meet up before the game (2pm) if any of you guys going are up for a drink. We're all going to the game and have a lot of City mates so there's only one place to be. It's on the way to the stadium if any of you are coming down by train/coach. Be handy for any guys with spare tickets too. No touting, of course!

Address below if you're interested....

The Waterfront Bar looks ok to me over looking a quayside, and not to far from the ground. Will need need to get a taxi from the train station.

We'll probably go in this one, as we're staying at the Hilton, so coming in from the north of the city.

Read a few reviews, and it sounds ok!
Thats a good job, because if you was coming in from south of the city you would need a boat.

Staying in Southampton Central Travelodge on Lodge Rd. Anyone know if going to Yates from there is it walking towards or away from the ground?
Are there any decent pit stops on the walk from Travelodge to Yates?

about 15 mins walk mate, down London Road, to the lights, straight over and keep walking, Yates is through the next major set of traffic lights on the right.

Couple of pubs on your way there worth a pint but nothing special.

See you in Yates's!
