Southampton u21s v EDS tomorrow night

Excellent second half performance, Barker still taking the wrong option too many times (just as he sets up a great chance for Iheanacho lol) but overall pretty good

Kelechi really does stand out at this level, it all looks so easy for him, could have easily had a hattrick tonight.

Anglino has had a great game, defensively as well as his usual attacking threat

An impressive result for our lads. The likes of Reed and Gallacher have a few senior appearances for Southampton already and Targett is highly rated.

James Hardy looks good, is this his return from injury or a few games back?

Thought the same.

Win, lose or draw, I think Vieira has got our EDS playing like a very well coached team.

I love the freedom he gives the fullbacks to not just use their flanks but also allowing them to come into midfield.

This total football approach can only benefit these lads in the long run.

Iheanacho was clearly a level above most of the players in the match imo, he moves at lot in the attack, constantly pressing the defenders, sets up two goals, scored one himself, and his intelligence is great as well, quick thinking around the box, and knows where to position himself. I'm sure he'll be a great player.

Love the way Iheanacho plays with his head up and constantly looks for quick one-twos, getting in the right positions and feeding off team-mates.

Despite his obvious technical ability, I was most impressed by his work rate. He was still pressing defenders to the last whistle and not giving them a minutes peace.

That kind of attitude, coupled with his natural footballing brain, should take him a long way.

His intelligence is one of the reasons I put him ahead of someone like Sturridge potentially. He's already got better vision and sees things most don't.
