Incredibly sad news and thoughts can only be with those directly affected by the actions of one cowardly and deplorable man. It is a huge concern for me as a young adult. This is the country I was born and raised in and has given me a fantastic education and childhood. But, I have been nervous around city centres for a while now. Not to an extreme level where I won’t go, but to a level where I am constantly conscious of risk. But, with this attack it just demonstrates and reminds that it is not only the centres and more dangerous areas where you have to be wary, but in a nice, quiet town and a supposed safe and happy environment for young kids.

I travel a lot with my job and I see some of the most deprived and frankly sad/depressing areas in the UK and I must say that I am seriously considering whether this country is a place that I want to buy my first home and raise a family in. Every country has issues and I know relative to some places it is incomparable, but it certainly does not feel like a thriving country; whether that be at government level, social level or economic level. Worrying times. Maybe it is unrealistic to think anywhere else is different.

I’m in my 50s and sent my two kids to nursery and whatnot

They’re in their 20s now but I don’t stop worrying about them.

You send kids to places like that so you can go and work and provide for them. I’m not arsed who or where from the attacker is from now. It is just horrendous.

I’m on the red wine because there the coping mechanism. Doors locked and I know where those two adult kids of mine are.

My thoughts are with everyone concerned with this today. They will be for the foreseeable.

Just waiting for unsubstantiated rumours about a person from a shelter in Cardiff to attract media comment...

My thoughts are with the victims and their families

The facts will come out... @bert38 said so...
LOL
Just like the facts have come out about the soldier that was stabbed at the barracks?
Do a google. News articles are all over 4 days old and plastered with the same ''not thought to be terror related'' comments all over them.

And the attackers in Manchester Airport still haven't been arrested or charged? And if that CCTV footage wasn't leaked then we'd all still be non the wiser being pushed the "police brutality" line.

Lots of reports breaking all over Twitter saying the same:
The police will not give his name in their recent update, it is being reported it is 17 year old Ali Al-Shakati.

Shakati was on MI6 watch list & was known to Liverpool mental health services. He was an asylum seeker who came to UK by boat last year.

No idea why the police/media keep saying non terrorism related when its clear as day it is. Same as the recent Soldier stabbing

We need to reconsider and bring back the death sentence. There is no place in our society for any people who are capable of committing this type of crime.
They should be beaten to death by the families/communities.
Pieces of shit like this don't deserve to be breathing and should leave this earth in the most painful way imaginable.

Well avoided.

I will tell you now it will be a terrorist attack. Fact. It will be out within days. Of am wrong I will apologise, but I won’t be wrong. I will not be wrong.

Like the broken nose of the officer was an accident. Utter bullshit.

What about the wider issue of 24 terror deaths and countless injuries in the north west in the past few years?

Stop dancing around with bullshit and protect our kids.
Have you read the statement from Merseyside Police? What part of “Born in Cardiff” don’t you get?

Now it could be that Merseyside Police are wrong/are lying about that but I very much doubt they’d be so fucking stupid as to do that.
