Kane makes sense when your wingers are Rashford and Sterling - he drops deep, the runners dash into the space. But when you don’t play with that style of winger any more, it’s borderline criminal that Watkins isn’t starting in his place. We need his forward runs to create space, as we don’t have the profile of player to make Kane’s dropping deep worthwhile. It is a hindrance with absolutely no upside.
