The quote means nothing, rest assured. It tickles me when people take stuff like this seriously. He's in a job. We have a manager . Of course it's impossible.

But it might not be in the summer....
Don't be ridiculous.

Mourinho only takes jobs which more or less guarantee him success. He's a great manager. But why risk his reputation. he can afford to pick and choose.

There won't be a vacancy if City stay where we are. And if we do finish outside the top 4, and the board decide to sack Mancini, then Mourinho wont be interested regardless of the money.

I don't understand why you can't just back the manager until its proven that he is not up to the job. After 12 months you simply cannot know. And the League and Cup progress suggest he's on target.

I should give up trying to discuss this. Totally pointless. Every defeat, we get the same old story

You can't say he only chooses the big clubs. Porto winning the Champions League spring to mind? Why wouldn't he come to us? He'd be his own manager, no one would tell him who to sign who to play etc.

The only reason why Khaldoon came and gave a team talk before the Sunderland is obviously because he knows the fans patience with Mancini is wearing thin.

Do you?

Do you know for a fact he is happy with Mancini?

Do you know Mourinho?

Do you know for a fact he wont come and that Real Madrid wont sack him if the unthinkable happens and he loses those 4 games against Barca?

I await you telling me to commit suicide again for daring to speak against your poster boy!

No-one knows any of that, you was the one who posted something like it was a fact, like it was known that Mancini was sacked when truth be told you don't know that Mancini will be sacked, you just think he will be

My opinion is that he will be sacked.

Im not going to post something different given that opinion am i?

Thats your opinion, it's speculation, it's not fact

You posted the below

...Mancini will still be sacked so all those getting giddy had better brace themselves for the loss of their favourite poster boy!

That makes it sound like you know he'll be sacked rather than that just being your opinion then when someone replies to you, you start to ask how they know that he won't be sacked when they never even said that

Unlike those on here stating that Mancini wont be sacked and that Mourinho wont ever be City manager?

Time will soon show who was right i guess.

Maybe Khaldoon should give the teamtalk again on Saturday, it seemed to have the desired effect against Sunderland.

Then IF we win on Sat, install Khaldoon as manager :)

Problem solved ;)

So just because some people think Mancini won't be sacked and Mourinho won't ever be City managers means you need to post things like you know it for fact then ask someone who basically questioned how you knew that if they know that Mancini will be staying when they never said he was, they just asked if you knew Khaldoun seeing as your post came across that you was sure Mancini will be gone in the summer

Either way, you think no matter what Mancini will be sacked. I think at the moment he's City manager who still has a change of having us in a very good position at the end of the season and then who knows where it goes from there?

The FACT that Khaldoon felt it necessary to even give the team talk in the first place says everything....

How many player interviews have we read this year from players giving the praise for a win and performance at the feet of Mancini and his motivational powers?

-- Thu Apr 14, 2011 9:03 am --

I wont be shifting my position and that is Mancini wont be manager next season.

Rightly so as well.

He says 'its impossible' and people interpret that it means he might do??

What does he have to do to convince people on here that he isn't coming??

I also find it very strange that people(I assume grown men) hang on this man's every word like a star struck teenage girl hoping against hope that Robbie hasn't left Take-That(the 1st time)

Grow up!!!

Pointless arguement !!
The same "grown men" also idolise their favourite players and can`t see any wrong,so whats the difference ????

Thats your opinion though yeh? Maybe next time you could stop trying to put across as you know for a fact then get defensive when someone questions you on it

I wasn't being defensive as such FB, i was merely putting the same question to a poster who was trying to be clever that's all, as you now are.

The funny yet sad thing is this is almost a carbon copy of the Hughes arguments and the same thing got trotted out that time as well.

Those claiming he was gone were derided as knowing fuck all. "You dont know Khaldoon" "good job our owner thinks differently" etc etc etc.

We all know how that one ended up don't we.

I don't see why you lot keep going round in the same circle every day. Aren't you all bored of it?

Honestly, i'm not trying to be clever but you put it across as you know it was a fact then got defensive when someone asked if you knew Khaldoun. End of the day mate, just ignore me. I'm being quite petty to be honest, i just find it difficult to understand how so many people think he's gone at the end of the season no matter what and make it come across as they know it for a fact, when the reality is they probably don't

Loyalty points anyone??? ;-)

Discussing the merits of our manager/players/club will never be boring for me...

What the fuck is it with you and saying loyalty points? I have never said I have a huge number of them as I don't. Think you are thinking of someone else. You're being quite the child. ;-)

Also, you are not discussing the merits of any of the above. You are claiming knowledge on something that is yet to happen.

Anyway, carry on, I am sure it is great fun. Maybe capitalise the ODD word every NOW and again to reinforce you FACTS.

Rammy, you're spot on, but my attitude has changed recently purely based on the views of someone who knows a few things.

He is convinced Mourinho is waiting for the United job after next season and won't take the City job. I've never swallowed that as I don't see the United job fitting his ego because he can only fail - you win the league then it's Ferguson's team - you win fuck all and it's a disaster.

However, this chap firmly believes the challenge of following Ferguson fits his ego perfectly as it is the 'impossible job'. Although this bloke has more of a foot in the United camp than the City one (although he should be impartial) he went on to say that he hopes that Mourinho doesn't take over at United because he will come in, bring all his own men in and then fuck off after two years and leave a compete mess. He doesn't think Gill will want him as they won't get on but it will be the Glazers' call ultimately(with input from Ferguson).

On the whole, he was scathing of the decision makers at United so no matter what happens, I've got hope that United could come toppling down after Ferguson retires as he really does seem to be holding the lot together.

I wouldn't rule anything out with Mourinho, but I'm not so dismissive as I previously was about him going to United.

I've just returned from a meeting with the Sheik and it is definitely and wholeheartedly confirmed that Roberto Mancini is definitely staying at Manchester City for the next 25 years. There is no chance of that silly, egotistical personage from the continent arriving because we already have the special one Roberto Mancini.

Yes, I know, very silly post but not half as silly as going over and over and over and over whether that egotistical charlatan Mourhino is coming or not. We have a manager and we should get behind that manager because it is the chopping and changing of managers that has weakened our push for glory. We need some consistency, we do not need this constant "we lost a match, let's change the manager" routine.
