Speed awareness course

Hardly got out with the caravan this year and using the car a lot less actually. Started cycling with some of the blokes from work more. We meet up at the end of the road and do the commute into town together. Not racing or anything, tbh it's nice to just pootle along having a chat.
Go on, 5 abreast is it?

Yeah dont blame you mate, them cycle lanes are always full of cyclists anyway, much better to use the roads, loads more room to swerve about and have a nice chat ;-)
Tbh I normally stay 30cm-1m from the kerb on my own unless passing parked cars. Riding two abreast is easier in some respects - you just occupy the same space in the lane as an average sized car. I feel safer like that too as we are so visible. It seems to work as we certainly get many friendly horn toots as drivers pass us.

Ha ha I bet you fucking do lol.

I'm a very courteous driver, I was in Notts a few years ago and I spotted a disability scooter and driver waiting to cross the road in the distance. I slowed right down flashing my lights for him/her to cross, got closer and closer, still not taking my invitation. Got right up to the vehicle and it was indeed a scooter with a dummy on it advertising the disability shop adjacent, the prick who owned the shop must have put his promo on the kerb side for a laugh, can't imagine I was the only one to fall for it.
