Sponsorship works

This is my problem as I own about 3 pairs of Adidas trainers lol...

I've purposely avoided Nike shit for years, but now they make city gear I'm supposed to suddenly buy it??

I won't be buying any Nike shirts until the quality improves and that shield goes.

I still don't buy much Nike stuff as I don't really like it. Adidas were my go-to for trainers and sometimes tracksuit tops. I went with Puma for my last trainers and they're not as good but there's no way I'm buying Adidas again.

I have all Adidas running gear although it is principally due to the clearance shop in Stockport. I will be less likely to buy the stuff now to be honest.

I remember years ago when there was a rumour that Boddies was going to be the rags sponsor. It was about £1.10 a pint at the time and served in the only pub that would let some of my mates in (being 17 at the time). Troublesome times.

Nike is Shrek's boot supplier!
Puma sponsor Arsenal

I'm going back to Bukta and Gola

Couldn't give a flying fuck who sponsors what football team. I buy what is best. I had a Vodafone phone when they sponsored United, for example. A Newcastle supporting bloke I know aged 45 expressed surprise at my new red car last week, saying he only buys black or white. I thought to myself "you badly need to grow up mate".

Although when i was buying my last car, faced with a choice of otherwise largely identical models in red and blue, I went for the blue one.

I remember reading years ago that Howard Davies , City supporter and at the time deputy director of the Bank of England was at a business reception in Japan . He was introduced to the chairman of Sharp who told him they sponsor The rags . Howard davies's response was , as I recall " I know that's why I never buy any of your products " I loved that when I heard that PS I bumped into him standing in the rain at Port Vale many years ago .

But the colour red doesn't make it the best. It's the model's spec etc.
