Same applies to you my friend, my son and his mates plus loads of others have all booked independently, my point about spike is I chose that option rather than go on a 5 day bender because spike was running a controlled trip under the guise of being in the clubs name

There do seem to be people, quite often, being generalised in this thread though
I was flying Friday PM, returning Sunday PM. I want(ed) to enjoy the whole experience - that included seeing some sights and remembering the match. I wasn't intending a 5 day bender, and when I booked Spike's trips weren't on offer.
It doesn't entitle any one of us to a ticket over others.
We've ALL been royally fucked by those involved, and whilst perhaps having a very small degree of sympathy with the club, MCFC can't be excused
(I'm actually dreading the ticket announcement now - just fear how they're going to fuck that up as well)

They would have enough points to qualify anyway I assume. They could then either keep their current plans (if allowed) or cancel their bookings and do it through the club no?

I think we need to see how many jump on free day trip ,there will be a cut off,wouldent be suprised if city had a rough idea of how many have already booked,especially how many are on spikes trip includein myself ,theyve just done a good will gesture,i think it will be fine an in a few days most would of got tickets,if it does ram out tho the allocation on the day trip which i cant see because ull just be treated like sheep,probly struggle to get a beer an pure covid bullshit then its a bit out of order,but lets just see what happens it has bin a fuck up this but who gives a fuck were on the piss in porto next week fuck it

Yeah like me. I will no doubt qualify for the free trip and would rather go on Spikes if the ticket situation allows. The majority of fans booked already will have enough points to go on any free trip, if buying a separate ticket isn’t allowed due to UEFA and Portugal’s rules.

Spike has already said that if the rules around ticketing mean that you can’t go to the game on the trip there will be refunds. Let’s all just wait and see before getting too worked up.

You still won’t have a ticket though, I don’t give a fuck about the sheiks “generosity” it’s about the ticket. I need to calm down though as we await the next “announcement”, hopefully all will end well.

I can see at least 2000 being in Porto without tickets. Once this has blown over we’ll start putting plans in place for a meet up to watch the game

It will be fuckin mint reguardless,not down with a day trip at all never done em an never will,am on a 3 dayer and come saturday when am toppin up,if av not got a ticket ill just get smashed,probly offer a tout a few quid but all that matters to me is that we win the thing loads blues will be in same boat ,will be a laugh whatever happens
